I appreciate the seasonal approach of the book’s structure because I can return to it often to check out individual poems that correspond with the weather, time, and my own mood. Growing up close to Lake Michigan and now living and enjoying Lake Superior, the images allow me to relive some happy past times on our near a body of water. I especially enjoy that many of the the poems end with a thought that provokes some important aspect of life.
